Τhe restoration of endodontically treated teeth is different from any other restoration, as they have certain peculiarities. In other words, these teeth have lost a significant part of their tooth substance. Many times the loss of the anatomical crown is so extensive that it is necessary to use posts for both functional and aesthetic reasons. The retention of intracanal space, for the subsequent placement of post, can be done during the endodontic treatment speeding up the restoration process for both the patient and the referring dentist.
